Later, in 2013, the Iberian branch was founded. Both Madrid and Lisbon have always been the focus, while Barcelona, Porto, Algarve and other main Spanish cities were regular target. By 2018, five build-to-rent re-developments were successfully concluded and started to operate as serviced-apartments between 2016 to 2018. Today they are all fully operational, performing well, and in high demand.
Over the last decade, we have invested on behalf of different high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and real estate investment trusts (REITs), in addition to the equity raised and the fund management succeeded, both locally and overseas.
During these last years, Iberia Capital partnered with foreign investors and managers to build Spanish REIT structures (SOCIMI). Also, new local partners joined us, gaining in local experience. Today our international team is made up of people with more than 30 years of individual experience in the European real estate markets and who have acquired, managed, develop and disposed of properties worth several billions of euros.
